TASTING NOTE: Corbières is the largest appellation within the Languedoc and the fourth-largest in all of France. The red wines produced there exhibit complex blackberry and pepper notes with a mix of garrigue and herbs such as thyme, rosemary, basil and sage. From a small family estate within Corbières, this wine is a blend of 60% Syrah with 40% Grenache and is made in a big, burly style that goes well with grilled mutton or pork. |
