NORTH COAST RESERVE CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2016 North Coast
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer JOSH CELLARS
This is one of 43 items out of 92 releases not presented for evaluation under new LCBO policies. A REPEAT of the recommended 2016 (***) was released on March 16, 2019 at $24.95. Here is my previous note: Extremely deep intense ruby purple colour. Attractive, gently juicy, fresh, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis nose. Dry, medium bodied, nicely textured, slightly spicy, fresh, ripe, surprisingly intense, raspberry-black-cherry-cassis flavours with a well balanced, lingering, vibrant finish that has just a kiss oak. Versatile and very satisfying, this genuine crowd-pleaser is worthy of a detour. Has 14% alcohol and was 4 and is now 6 g/L residual sugar. Best served just slightly below room temperature.
