THE FOREIGN AFFAIR |
Fairly deep purple colour. Faintly herbal, plum-apple-cassis nose with some mineral notes. Fairly off dry, medium bodied, very spicy, quite well structured, spicy, faintly tangerine-tinged, ripe plum-cassis flavours with a lingering, high acid finish. Tasted once. This blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot has 13.2% alcohol a 3 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. The best yet. The 2013 (-/*) was released on February 6, 2016 at $19.95. |

TASTING NOTE: Following the ripasso method perfected in Italy's Veneto region, this unique wine uses dried grapes to add richness and depth to the notes of fresh and dried berries, spice and leather. An impressive wine that's perfect for grilled red meats. |
