TASTING NOTE: 12 months in oak, a skerrick new (15%), this is a plump and full-weighted wine with just enough structural mettle to corral the stream of blue to black fruit allusions, barbecue sauce, anise, tapenade and dried seaweed. There is a whiff of reduction as is contemporary Australia's wont with shiraz, but in all, a very solid drink. Drink by: 2022. Special Value. Score - 91 (Ned Goodwin, winecompanion.com.au, Aug. 1, 2019) |
