TASTING NOTE: The Almahue zone doesn't just have very old carménère, it also has cabernet sauvignon. This one is from a vineyard planted by one of the Edwards' neighbors in 1950. This cabernet has an abundance of earthy notes over a structure of firm and very tense tannins. It also has ripe red fruit as well as spices and that earthy side that lends great complexity.
