LA PERDRIX L'ENVOL 2018 AP Costières de Nîmes |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
CHÂTEAU SAINT-LOUIS |
Fairly deep purple colour. Bright, spicy, juicy, ripe, plum-cherry nose. Dry, medium bodied, harmonious, rathery spicy, gently juicy, youthful, plum-cherry purée flavours with a fresh, licorice-tinged finish. A tasty, well-priced, ready-to-drink, blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre that has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L19267/2 on the upper part of the glass bottle. Tasted twice - this note has been revised downwards from what I tasted in the lab. Has not appeared in Vintages before. |

TASTING NOTE: Look for this wine to deliver ripe and full dark fruit, peppery spice and touches of smoke, with good balance and a supple structure. Pair with grilled meats. [The Concours International de Lyon did not include a tasting note.] Score - Gold (Concours International de Lyon, 2019) |
