ETNA BIANCO 2018 DOC
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer TORNATORE
One of 103 items (68% of 152 releases) not presented for evaluation under new LCBO policies. A sample was provided by the agent for assessment. Here is my note: Very bright medium straw colour. Spicy, gently honeyed, faintly floral, intense, fruit-driven, ripe, apple-pear-melon nose with lots of mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied, very well structured, quite spicy, faintly floral, intense, ripe lemon-melon-apple-pear flavours with a wonderful, long, lingering, bright, fresh, harmonious, mineral-driven finish. Unoaked and aged 3 months on the lees and 4-6 months stainless steel and cement tanks. This seductive 100% Carricante has 12.5% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number LTB1804219 on the back label. The versatile, memorable Mount Etna white is a must try, especially with seafood. The recommended best buy 2016 (**+) was released on September 1, 2018 at $22.95. CSPC 577676
