DOMAINE LES BUGADELLES 2014 IGP Pays d'Oc
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, slightly spicy, complex, faintly baked, very ripe, plummy, black cherry puree with some mineral-tinged, very faintly herbal nose. Dry, medium-full to full bodied, well structured, dense, intense, ripe, plum-black-cherry flavours with a lingering, complex, herbes de Provence-tinged, fairly high acid, very gently cedary, faintly leathery finish. Wow, at only $25.95 you better run out and buy some asap (there are 30 cases available). This blend of Syrah and Grenache Noir has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. CSPC 493536

TASTING NOTE: This pours an inky, impenetrable black color, with an intense magenta rim. The deeply fruited nose shows loganberry, sloe, crushed slate, exotic North African spice and well-worn leather. The juicy core on the palate shows delicious development, with intense notes of cinnamon stick and black currant. The long finish is redolent with ripe blackberry, licorice, sweet spice, fig and incense. Exotic, mesmerizing and moreish, few won't love this wine. It's drinking beautifully now and should develop well through 2020. Score - 93 (Wine Enthusiast Importer Connection, Jan. 11, 2016) Price $ 25.95
