RESPLENDENT PINOT NOIR 2015 Oregon |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
ERATH |
Very deep intense purple colour. Attractive, fairly intense, gently complex, slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry-raspberry nose with some gentle cedary, faintly earthy notes. Fairly dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, harmonious, spicy, ripe black cherry-plum puree flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, fairly high acid finish. Showing nicely. Has 13.5% alcohol and 10 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: Fresh, with a wonderful mouthfeel and a deep core of dark red fruit supported by beetroot, sweet oak and earth tones. Nicely made and easy to enjoy, a pure example of the elegance and charm to be found in Oregon Pinot Noir. Enjoy with grilled salmon or pork ribs. (VINTAGES panel, Sept. 2016) |
