One does not come across a German Sauvignon Blanc very often. This NEW in Vintages Rheinhessen effort from Hans Baer offers great value. Bright pale straw colour. Fresh ripe yellow apple nose with just a hint of grassiness. Fairly dry, medium to medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, bright, crisp, lemony, apple-melon flavours with an unoaked crowd-pleasing, ready-to-drink, faintly herbal finish. It has 11.5% alcohol and about 4 g/L residual sugar with APN 4375-141-0046-25 on the back label. Screwcap closure. CSPC 45010
