TE BHEAG Connoisseurs' Blend, Unchilfiltered |

No longer a Vintages item, it has been ages since I last assessed a bottle. Wow - what a lovely surprise. The bottle just purchased from the LCBO was much better than before - a real crowd pleaser at a great price. Bright light amber-orange-gold colour. The elegant, attractive, slightly honeyed, gentle buttered toast nose has some ripe plum-apricot notes. It is dry, medium bodied and rounded with slightly honeyed, warm, ripe, lemony-plum fruit followed up a lingering, bright, beautifully balanced finish. Delightful to drink neat - cool but not too chilled. It has 40% alcohol with lot number L05 08 22 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Worth a detour, it is now available in over 300 stores. |

Té Bheag pronounced 'chey vek', not 'tea bag', is bottled without filtration, thus preserving the flavours that are often stripped away when wines or spirits are over filtered. 'Té Bheag', or 'The Little Lady', is the name of the boat on the label and the colloquial Gaelic expression for a 'wee dram'. |
