VIŅA TONDONIA RESERVA BLANCO 2010 DOCa Rioja |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
LOPEZ DE HEREDIA |
Bright medium yellow colour. Beguiling, intense, complex nose with lots of buttered toast, walnut and lemon meringue along with hints of Seville orange marmalade. Dry, medium-full bodied, very well structured, intense, complex, extremely bright, citrusy, lemon meringue flavours with a long, lingering, toasty, mouth filling, lifted finish. This remarkable blend of 90% Viura and 10% Malvasia was aged for 6 years in 225-litre American oak barrels and was unfined and unfiltered. It has 12.5% alcohol, under 1 g/L residual sugar and 6.6 g/L total acidity with lot number L-0884 on the back label. This 2010 may well be one of the best to date - only 15,000 bottles produced. NEW in Vintages. |
