Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer TORNATORE
Assessed from a new bottle purchased at the LCBO. Bright medium-light straw colour. Attractive, spicy, gently honeyed, floral, ripe, apple-pear-melon purée nose with lots of mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, spicy, somewhat floral, ripe, intense, lemon-melon-apple meringue flavours with a long, lingering, very bright, fresh, mineral-driven finish. Unoaked and aged 3 months on the lees (which results in some toasty notes) and 4-6 months stainless steel and cement tanks. This 100% Carricante has 12.5% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with new lot number LTB1809519 on the back label. The versatile, memorable Mount Etna white is a must with seafood.
