| Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, very bright, spicy, gently juicy, attractive, ripe, plummy-crancherry nose with some cedary, cassis- raspberry notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, spicy, mouthfilling, rich, plum-crancherry flavours with a lingering, high acid, lift- ed, cedar-tinged, cassis-raspberry finish. Try with a rib steak. This stillyouthful 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 80-year-old-vines has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L19122 on the back label. After a extended one-month fermentation, it was 100% aged in French oak (1/3 new) for 12 months and bottled with minimal filtration. Now tasted twice - needs time. TONY ASPLER / 90-points / BEST BUY - Cedary, tobacco, plum and blackcurrant bouquet with oak spice; medium-bodied, dry, elegant, ripe black stone fruit flavours with a floral grace note and well-integrated oak, ending on mellow tannins. |
