Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
TORO BRAVO |
Bright pale straw colour. Fresh, spicy, honeyed, floral, gently grassy, ripe apple-citrus nose with some faint mineral notes. Dry, medium-light bodied, tangy, fresh, crisp, apple-lemon flavours with a tangy, mineral-tinged finish. Terrific with seafood and oysters. This new non-Vintages best buy was just released and has 11.5% alcohol and 9 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure and lot number L1912718 on the back label. TONY ASPLER / 88.5-points / BEST BUY - Palest lime in colour; very slightly smoky, grassy nose of ripe apple-lemon; medium-bodied, lemony, green plum and green fig flavours with tangy acidity. Tart but refreshing. A great bargain-priced white for seafood. |

Tasting Note: This zesty Spanish blend ticks all the boxes for white wine enjoyment. The verdejo brings texture to the blend while the sauvignon blanc supplies fruit and acidity. Look for aromas and flavours of citrus and tropical fruit with hints of herb and orange zest and a soft, balanced finish. Pair with pork, fish or tapas. Serving Suggestion: Pair with pork, fish or appetizers, or use as a sangria base. |
