The previous 2016 appeared in Vintages (**/**+) on September 29, 2018 at $17.95 and was Recommended. Here is my previous note: Deep purple colour. Slightly spicy, ripe plum nose with some gentle licorice-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, ripe plum flavours with a fairly crisp, sandalwood-licorice, fairly high acid finish. Ready-to-drink. Has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar CSPC 297317

TASTING NOTE: Medium to full-bodied, with excellent ripeness and concentration, the 2017 Cotes du Rhone boasts assertive blueberry and blackberry fruit.
