FIANO 2017 DOP Sannio
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer JANARE
Very bright medium straw colour. Spicy, mineral-tinged, gently complex, somewhat nutty, ripe lemon-apple purée nose which perfectly reflects the ripe, Falanghina grape. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, mouthfilling, spicy, ripe lemon-pear-melon-apple flavours with a lingering, gently nutty, fairly high acid finish. Great with seafood or perhaps with poultry. Has 13.5% alcohol and 8 g/L residual sugar (back label removed). The 2016 appeared in Vintages (**/**+) on January 6, 2018 at $16.95 and was Recommended. TASTING NOTE: Sourced from vines averaging over 10 years of age planted in limestone and clay. This soft, creamy wine has a nice mouthfeel and is crisp and bright, with bold citrus and mineral notes. A great choice for shrimp, it will also be a refreshing sipper. (Vintages panel, Nov. 2018) Price $ 16.95
