Bright medium straw colour. Quite spicy, floral, baked lemon nose with some toasty notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, effervescent, spicy, intense,ripe lemon-apple meringue flavours with a lingering, very high acid, gently toasty finish. Made in the traditional (classique) method, in which the second fermentation takes place in the individual bottle. This 100% Chardonnay has 12.5% alcohol and 9 g/L residual sugar. This vintage bubbly is made from only Chardonnay grapes sourced from four estate vineyard sites. It's crafted in the traditional method of Champagne and spends a minimum of two years bottle-ageing on the lees. Expect a vivacious, crisp wine suggesting creamy vanilla, citrus and freshly baked bread and savour it, lightly chilled, with grilled or panfried lake fish or veggie tempura. Price $ 34.95
