GRAN SELECCIÓN CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2015 Certified carbon neutral, Rapel Valley
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LAPOSTOLLE
One of 72 items (60% of 136 releases) not presented for evaluation under new LCBO policies. This REPEAT last appeared in Vintages (**/**+) on September 2, 2017 at $15.95 and was Recommended. Here is my previous note: Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, spicy, earthy, garrigue-tinged, ripe baked plum nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, spicy, somewhat earthy, mocha-chocolate-tinged, baked plum-cherry-apple flavours with a lingering, cedary finish. Has 13.5% alcohol and now 7 g/L residual sugar with lot number L6334 on the back label and a screwcap closure. CSPC 514166

TASTING NOTE: Fresh black currants and crushed black pepper and violets. The tension and fruit are so precise with grainy tannins and a savory, umami character that permeates right through the juicy finish. Drink now. Score - 91 (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, March 16, 2018) Price $ 16.95
