Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer WINES & COMPANY
Bright fairly deep intense purple colour. Fresh, very slightly spicy, gently juicy, plum-cherry purée nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, bright, tangy, fresh, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, sandalwood-tinged, crisp finish. TONY ASPLER / 88.5-points / BEST BUY - Deep ruby in colour; spicy, black fruits on the nose with evident oak; medium-bodied, dry, red plum and mocha chocolate flavours with a crisp finish. A tasty bargain at the price. This recently launched 2017 stainless steel blend of 60% Tempranillo and 40% Merlot has 13% alcohol and 9 g/L residual sugar with a new lot number L9049 on the back label. Screwcap closure. Unlike our objective 88.5-points based on internationally-accredited evaluations systems using the professional ISO-glass, the Vintages Catalogue quoted 96-points uses a one-of-a-kind, value-based system that cannot be compared to any other score.
