TAVEL 2017 AC Tavel
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CHÂTEAU D'AQUÉRIA
Bright very light reddish colour. Fairly intense, slightly spicy, candied apple-plum nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium-light bodied, quite well structured, tangy, spicy, dusty cooked apple-plum flavours with a crisp finish. This blend of 45% Grenache Noir with 20% Clairette, 15% Cinsault, 8% Mourvèdre, 6% Syrah, 4% Bourboulenc and 2% Picpoul has 14% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar. There are 21 Vintages releases of this Tavel in my database which covers the past 18 years. Unfortunately, this 2017 is a big disappointment. Intense, would like to taste it again. The recommended 2016 (**+) was released on May 13, 2017 at $21.95. CSPC 319368
