CHARDONNAY 2016 BC VQA Okanagan Valley
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer TINHORN CREEK
Not presented at the press and/or consultants preview in the LCBO lab. Here is my note from a sample provided by the agent. Bright medium-deep straw colour. Intense, complex, lemon meringue nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, spicy, fairly cedary, intense, ripe lemon meringue flavours with a tangy, fairly high acid, pear-tinged finish. Has 14% alcohol and comes with a screwcap closure. CSPC 378489

TASTING NOTE: The nose on this lovely mineral-laden Chardonnay shows tropical fruits, citrus, white peach and lightly toasted oak spices. It has bright acidity on the palate to perk up the citrus and orchard fruits and keep the spice notes in perfect balance. Zippy/zesty finish keeps it fresh from start to finish.
