Bright deep straw colour. Fairly intense, spicy, honeyed, lemon meringue-tinged, ripe apple puree nose with some cedary notes. Fairly dry, medium to medium-light bodied, spicy, faintly honeyed, ripe apple-lemon-melon puree flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, mineral-driven finish. TASTING NOTE: The fruit for this Niagara Chardonnay comes from 25 year-old vines grown on St David's Bench. The wine is aged in 10% new French oak and undergoes 15% malolactic fermentation to add richness yet preserve fruit purity and a zing. Aromas of green apple. Full-bodied. Pair with roast chicken.
