Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer SEGURA VIUDAS
Not presented at the press and/or consultants preview in the LCBO lab. Here is note from the bottle we received from Priofile Wines. Bright medium straw colour. Intense, fairly complex, slightly honeyed, gently toasty, ripe lemon-melon-apple nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, harmonious, tangy, ripe lemon-melon-apple flavours with good effervescence and a lingering, crisp, somewhat toasty finish. This REPEAT has 12% alcohol and 12 g/L residual sugar with the same lot number L720735 on the back label. Last appeared in Vintages (***) on November 11, 2017 at $29.95 and was Recommended. TASTING NOTE: Fleshy, flavourful and attractively toasty, this is another fine bottling of Segura Viudas' premium Cava offering. There's plenty of yeasty autolysis, fresh bread dough and blanched almonds over green apple and citrus fruit. Fine mousse, and persistence, too.
