Extremely deep intense purple colour. Spicy, somewhat cedary, juicy, ripe cherry-plum puree nose with some faint Merlot inspire, sandalwood-licorice notes. Dry, medium bodied, tangy, ripe plum-cherry puree flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, fairly high acid, faintly tropical fruit cocktail-sandalwood-licorice finish. This SECOND REPEAT has 13.5% alcohol and now 5 g/L residual sugar with a new lot number 17032 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TASTING NOTE: Rich and plummy, beautifully rounded and very satisfying. The tannins are silky and the wine is ready to enjoy but is not without pleasant grip. Harmonious, and offering excellent concentration. Complex and ethereal in texture. All is in balance and the wine demonstrates very good typicity. Recommended. Tasted June 2017. Score - 91 (Sara d'Amato, winealign.com, June 29, 2017) |
