TASTING NOTE: Cadarca (Kadarka) has a long history in Romania, though it's believed to be indigenous to Bulgaria. The vineyards of the Minis region are predominantly southern facing, and the area enjoys the influence of the Adriatic and the Mediterranean. Long, warm, dry autumns provide excellent conditions for ripening. This example has smoky raspberry and cherry off the top with some dark berry lingering around the fringes. Easy to enjoy, this has good structure and grippy tannins. Try this unique wine with grilled sausages. (Vintages panel, Aug. 2017) Price $ 15.95
