| Extremely deep purple colour. Intense, youthful, spicy, apple-tinged, baked plum nose with some peppery, sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, bright, stewed apple flavours with a lingering, somewhat tart, high acid finish. Has 13.5% alcohol and 8 g/L residual sugar. The 2015 (**) was released on September 16, 2017 at $18.95. |

| TASTING NOTE: Crafted using a method that dates back to the 14th century. The process sees 30% of the grapes remaining unharvested for 2-3 weeks after the main harvest. These are then brought in and used to trigger a second fermentation, adding depth, colour and body to the wine and imparting a richly textured mouthfeel. This wine has great structure and plenty of dark fruit and is a superb value. Don't wait, try it with ribs, burgers or lamb kebabs. (Vintages panel, July 2017) |
