MANDUS PRIMITIVO DI MANDURIA 2016 DOP |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

PIETRA PURA |
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Very spicy, baked cherry-apple nose with some clove-tinged, vanilla sugar notes. Sweet, medium bodied, bright, tangy, very spicy, cooked red cherry-apple flavours with a vanilla stick, marzipan-tinged finish. Ready-to-drink. This is a style that I personally try to avoid. Has 14% alcohol and 13 g/L residual sugar with lot number 15.17.18 on the capsule. Better than the 2015 (*/*+) with 84-points released on August 5, 2017 at $17.95. |

Crafted from Primitivo (a.k.a. Zinfandel), this will deliver a full-bodied, dense, round experience. Look for smoke underlying densely layered dark fruit and chocolate. This wine is typically quite ripe, which comes across as sweetness in the mouth. A good reliable mid-week-burger kind of wine. |
