Extremely deep intense purple colour. Spicy, baked apple-plum nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, somewhat bitter, herbal, dried plum-apple flavours with a lingering, high acid, somewhat cedary finish. Planted with 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc this 2014 has 13% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar. Beware of the dated tasting note appearing in the Vintages Catalogue. TASTING NOTE: This is a ripe, spicy and full-bodied wine from the Robin group of producers created by Grand Moulin's Jean-Francois Renaud in Blaye. The wine has both structure and rich blackberry fruit. The tannins are dusty, spicy and with fine acidity to balance. Drink this fine wine from 2019.
