CHÂTEAU DES LANDES CUVÉE PRESTIGE 2014 AC Lussac-Saint-Émilion |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

Extremely deep intense purple colour. Youthful, spicy, ripe plum nose with lots of cedary notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, quite well structured, harmonious, very slightly spicy, ripe plum flavours with a lingering, crisp, high acid, rather cedary finish. A hefty blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc with 13.5% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar. Try with a rare rib steak! TONY ASPLER / 89.5-points / BUY - Cedary, blackcurrant and plum nose; medium-bodied, dry, well-extracted black fruit flavours with savoury, dark chocolate notes and grainy tannins on the finish. |

TASTING NOTE: Big and bold, this is a rich wine with firm tannins that are balanced by dense fruitiness. Spice, a dark texture and concentration hint at the extraction although this does not detract from potential of the fruit. Give this several more years before drinking, certainly don't try it before 2020. Score - 90 (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, Sept. 1, 2017) |
