SAUVIGNON BLANC 2017 Marlborough, South Island |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
THORNBURY |
Very bright extremely pale straw colour. Slightly herbal, grassy, bright, rhubarb-apple-lemon nose with lots of mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied, spicy, grassy, intense, ripe lemon-apple flavours with a very crisp, unoaked, mineral-tinged finish. Has 12.5% alcohol and 6 g/L residual sugar with lot number 17362 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. You can safely ignore the Natalie MacLean 92-point tasting note appearing in the Vintages Catalogue which was posted on September 4, 2017 - which is actually before the date that this wine was bottled (December 28, 2017). |
