LOUIS ROEDERER |
Bright medium light straw colour. Attractive, gently toasty, fairly complex, mineral-tinged, ripe lemon-apple meringue nose. Dry, medium bodied, well structured, very slightly spicy, bright, ripe lemon-apple meringue flavours with a lingering, gently toasty, high acid, mineral-tinged, effervescent finish. Very nice. Has 12% alcohol and 10 g/L residual sugar with lot number L045832A on the back label. TONY ASPLER / 92-points / BUY - Minerally, apple and white blossoms on the nose; medium-bodied, dry, lemony, green apple with citrus acidity. Very elegant with great persistence on the palate. |

TASTING NOTE: This is well-spiced and creamy in texture, with a raciness and tension to the flavors of crushed blackberry, candied ginger and mandarin orange peel, showing a rich hint of coffee liqueur on the finish. Bright and harmonious. Tasted from magnum. Drink now through 2022. Score - 92 (Alison Napjus, winespectator.com, 2017) |
