PALAZZO DELLA TORRE 2014 IGT Veronese
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ALLEGRINI
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Spicy, cedary, herbal, baked plum-apple nose with some sandalwood notes. Fairly dry, medium-full bodied, intense, spicy, ripe plum-fig flavours with a lingering, cedary, fairly high acid finish. This REPEAT has 13.5% alcohol and 7 g/L residual sugar with a NEW lot number L8043 on the back label. This new bottling on February 17, 2018 is not up to the 2014 (**/**+) that was last released on December 9, 2017 at $24.95. You can safely ignore the excessively high 93-point Suckling tasting note appearing in the Vintages Catalogue. CSPC 672931

TASTING NOTE: What a delicious nose of brambleberries, vanilla, mocha-scented oak, spice box, plum liqueur, licorice and milk chocolate. Full-bodied and rich with plenty of dense fruit and fresh acidity that carries this to a long finish. Almost verges on too much but pulls back. Drink now or hold.
