| I was unable to retaste this REPEAT as it was not presented at the consultants preview in the LCBO lab. Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, spicy, warm ripe black cherry plum nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, spicy, intense, ripe cherry-plum flavours with a lingering, tangy, cedar-tinged, fairly dense finish. Has 13.8% alcohol and now 4 g/L residual sugar. A REPEAT of the recommended 2016 (**/**+) was released on October 28, 2017 at $27.95. TONY ASPLER / 88.5-points - Cedary, blackberry nose with herbal notes; full-bodied, dry, savoury blackberry flavours; firmly structured. |

| TASTING NOTE: A chunky cabernet sauvignon, well-ripened but not over-treated. The tannic presence is both grippy but not bitter due to ripeness. Fruit is dark and concentrated on the full-bodied palate of impressive intensity. Still tightly wound but very characteristic of the power McLaren Vale can communicate. Good length.
