L'OUBLIÉ NO. 48 XO COGNAC AC, France |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
LHÉRAUD |
Bright orange-tinged light amber colour. Spicy, woodsy, fairly honeyed, dried apricot nose with some plummy notes. Dry, medium bodied, very spicy, honeyed, clementine-Seville orange marmalade flavours with lots of caramel notes on the lingering finish. The impression of sweetness lingers and the woodsy fallen leaf notes are absent. It has 42% alcohol and was tasted twice but is not to my personal taste. |

They are renowned for their stocks of rare old Cognacs as well as for the exceptional quality found in all their products. This exquisite Cognac was aged for over 20 years. Expect elegance, balance and refinement in abundance, and look for touches of vanilla, chocolate and spice throughout. |
