Medium deep purple colour. Very spicy, juicy, ripe plum-cherry puree nose with some cedary mineral-tinged notes. Dry, medium bodied, very spicy, ripe plum-cherry-raspberry flavours with a lingering, high acid, tangy mineral-tinged finish. Has 13.8% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. TONY ASPLER / 89-points - Ruby coloured; high-toned, cedary, earthy nose of black cherries with a note of rhubarb; medium-bodied, dry, lean and sinewy, firmly structured with evident oak. Needs time to meld but will be worth the wait (4-5 years). |

TASTING NOTE: Attractively scented pinot noir with juicy cherry, plum, mineral and spice flavours. Subtle sweet fruits are perfectly balanced by fine, ripe tannins. An elegant, supple wine that should age gracefully. Will benefit from aeration. Drink: 2017 to 2023. Score - 95 (Bob Campbell, MW, bobcampbell.nz, June 4, 2017) |
