TASTING NOTE: Straight away it must be said the best of the Contraband sparklers is right here if nothing else but for the childhood memory of it all. In its aroma I recall the marshmallow dusted with strawberry sprinkles and a freshly opened pack of hockey cards. In winemaking I imagine concrete tanks and dusty, yeasty notes. Yes there is a nouveau adjunct to this blush bubble but it stays focused and the acidity is right in line. Who could not find it in their heart to pour this at a holiday soirée and again on Valentine's Day? Pleasure beyond the riesling and the chardonnay. Drink 2016-2019.
