OMBU TANNAT 2015 Atlántida, Canelones |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
BRACCO BOSCA |
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Spicy, baked plum-apple nose with some cedary notes. Very dry, medium bodied, somewhat bitter, dried plum flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, cedary finish. Has 13% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar. It is not a detour - the second sample had cork tca taint. TONY ASPLER / 87-points - Cedary, blackberry nose with oak notes and a light floral uplift; medium-bodied, dry, earthy, blackberry with some old barrel notes; acidic and tannic. A pass. |

An ombú is a type of evergreen tree; there's a very old one in front of the Bracco Bosca winery. TASTING NOTE: Purple in color with aromas of fresh blackberries. Juicy, with tannat's characteristic tension. For variety meats. Score - 90 (Patricio Tapia, Descorchados, 2017) |
