RUFFINO |
Deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, intense, sandalwood-tinged, ripe plum-cherry puree nose with some gently cedary, licorice notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, quite well structured, harmonious, slightly spicy, bright, intense, maturing, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, lifted, cedary, rather earthy finish. This REPEAT blend 85% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon has 14.5% alcohol and now 3 g/L residual sugar with a new lot number L17286 (it was L17061 in the last release ) on the back label. Not quite up to the recommended 2012 (***) which was last released on November 11, 2017 at only $44.95. |
