Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ROCCHE COSTAMAGNA
Ambering medium deep red colour. Intense, complex, slightly spicy, leathery, mature, ripe plum nose. Dry, medium bodied, fairly tangy, spicy, fairly intense, fairly dusty plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, crisp, slightly rustic, sandalwood-tinged, high acid finish.
Has 14% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with a new lot number 170201 on the back label. The recommended 2012 (***) was released on March 4, 2017 at $51.95.

TASTING NOTE: A full-bodied Barolo with lots of chewy tannins and ripe fruit that shows dried berry, cedar and chocolate character. Light lemon rind on the finish.
