LIANO SANGIOVESE/CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2014 IGT Rubicone
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer UMBERTO CESARI
Very deep intense purple colour. Very spicy, baked plum-cherry puree nose with some cedar-sandalwood, faint gingerbread notes. Off dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, very spicy, faintly gingery, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, sandalwood-tinged, marzipan-tinged finish. This SECOND REPEAT blend has 13.5% alcohol and 11 g/L residual sugar with a new lot number L:5011/1 on the back label. Consistently underwhelming especially for the price. The 2014 (*+) was last released on December 9, 2017 at $27.95. CSPC 225086
