TASTING NOTE: Château La Tour de Mons can trace its wine history back to the 13th century. Based on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is showing a nice interplay of youth and maturity with blackberry, plum and blackcurrant fruit, tobacco and leather notes. Pour it alongside beef tenderloin and caramelized onions, now through 2020. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2017) |
