TASTING NOTE: From the exceptional 2000 vintage, this is the second wine of Château Clos de Sarpe. It's fully mature, quite elegant and showing wonderfully complex notions of strawberry jam and plum sauce, oak spice, dried herbs, meat, leather and earth. It's poised to impress through at least 2020. Pair with prime rib roast and blue cheese mashed potatoes. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2017) |
