Bright medium deep straw colour. Slightly spicy, somewhat shy, faintly honeyed, floral, apple-melon nose. Fairly dry, medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, ripe apple-melon flavours with a lingering, mineral-tinged, fairly high acid, fresh, crisp finish. This 100% Clairette has 12.5% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number L17/019/1CC on the back label. Screwcap closure. TASTING NOTE: 100% Clairette. An aromatic nose of citrus, pear, apple, floral and exotic tones. Lots of vigour and character on the palate with grapefruit and herby elements. Long, clean, fresh and mineral. Superb! Score - 96 (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2016) |
