This REPEAT of the 2016 is showing better today than when it was last released on December 9, 2017 at $25.55. TONY ASPLER / 88-points - Cedary, spicy, cherry nose with vanilla oak notes; medium-bodied, dry, earthy, red plum and red cherry flavours with a firm tannic structure. TASTING NOTE: The Grower's Blend is yet another Tawse pinot noir that needs a couple of years to settle, flesh and comply so here things have loosened for change. This 2015 is prettier, softer and finer, with thanks to some maturing older vine fruit, a really workable vintage and a deeper understanding. Earthy hematic and ferric notes still persist but they are already relegated to the background, with polished cherry and strawberry fruit up front. Still delivers some grip and form behaviour but only for balance. Lovely example of Peninsula pinot noir, in the end. Drink 2017-2021.
