TASTING NOTE: Primitivo is the same grape variety as Zinfandel, and this wine spent six months in American oak, adding smoky shading to the grape's bold, fruity flavours. A supple, easygoing \"Prim\" grown in Italy's sunny south, this wine's also got a fair bit of complexity, showing cherry, plum, mulberry, strawberry, raisin, leather and spice notes. Pair with oven-baked short ribs, or orecchiette pasta with broccoli rabe and garlic. (Vintages panel, June 2017) Price $ 17.95
