TASTING NOTE: Primitivo creates plush, sensual wines in its native Puglia. This example is elegant and intense, with notes of ripe plum, cherry jam, tobacco leaf and cocoa with white pepper spice making an appearance on the finish. Enjoy alongside baked pork with mushrooms and potatoes. (Vintages panel, June 2017) |
