Ambering medium deep brick red colour. Slightly spicy, complex, sandalwood-tinged nose. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, intense, slightly spicy, solid, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, harmonious, high acid, attractive finish. TASTING NOTE: Iron, graphite and sanguine aromas introduce this stern, sinewy red, backed by cherry, strawberry, floral and tobacco flavors. Beautifully balanced and long. Though firm, this remains fresh and focused on the aftertaste. Best from 2023 through 2045. Highly Recommended. Score - 95 (Bruce Sanderson, winespectator.com, April 30, 2017) |
