Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer IRONSTONE
Very bright medium straw colour. Spicy, intense, quince-pear nose with some fairly intense toasty notes. Dry, medium bodied, smooth, spicy, ripe, lemon-melon-pear meringue flavours with a lingering, gently toasty, harmonious finish. Has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 17226 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Much better than the 2015 (**) with 87.5-points released on January 21, 2017 at $17.95. TONY ASPLER / 88-points - Reductive, toasty nose of apples; full-bodied, dry, sweet pear with a note of cloves and a soft mouth-feel. CSPC 355776
