SANCERRE 2015 AC |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
CHÂTEAU DE SANCERRE |
Bright medium straw colour. Gently grassy, faintly honeyed, slightly spicy, mineral-tinged, ripe lemon-melon-apple nose with hints of dried pear. Dry, medium bodied, well structured, gently grassy, slightly spicy, intense, attractive, ripe lemon flavours with a crisp, unoaked finish. Best with seafood. Has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L15G29217 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TONY ASPLER / 90-points / BEST BUY - Grassy, grapefruit with a chalky note; medium-bodied, dry, gooseberry and grapefruit flavours with lively acidity and great length. It amazes us that anyone could award this classy Sancere with the same score (88-points) as the previously-assessed, straightforward, rather simple Muscadet. |
